【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofskidresistanceofpavedsurfaceswithaspecifiedfull-scaleautomotivetire.1.2Thistestmethodutilizesameasurementrepresentingthesteady-statefrictionforceonalockedtestwheelasitisdraggedoverawettedpavementsurfaceunderconstantloadandataconstantspeedwhileitsmajorplaneisparalleltoitsdirectionofmotionandperpendiculartothepavement.1.3Thevaluesmeasuredrepresentthefrictionalpropertiesobtainedwiththeequipmentandproceduresstatedhereinanddonotnecessarilyagreeorcorrelatedirectlywiththoseobtainedbyotherpavementfrictionmeasuringmethods.Thevaluesareintendedforuseinevaluatingtheskidresistanceofapavementrelativetothatofotherpavementsorforevaluatingchangesintheskidresistanceofapavementwiththepassageoftime.Thevaluesareinsufficienttodeterminethedistancerequiredtostopavehicleoneitherawetoradrypavement.Theyarealsoinsufficientfordeterminingthespeedatwhichcontrolofavehiclewouldbelost,becausepeakandsideforcefrictionarealsorequiredforthesedeterminations.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIvaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificsafetyprecautions,seeSection.
