【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesaguideforevaluationofanimportantphysicalcharacteristicofapowderknownastheapparentdensity.Themeasuredapparentdensitybearsarelationshiptothemassofpowderthatwillfillafixedvolumediecavity.Thedegreeofcorrelationbetweentheresultsofthistestandtheperformanceofpowdersduringusemayvarywitheachparticularapplication.Note,however,thatthepresenceofmoisture,oils,stearicacid,stearates,waxes,andthetemperatureofthepowdermassmayalterthephysicalcharacteristicsofthepowder.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesaprocedurefordeterminingtheapparentdensityoffree-flowingmetalpowders,andmixedpowders;andissuitableforonlythosepowdersthatwillflowunaidedthroughthespecifiedHallFlowmeterfunnel.1.2Withtheexceptionofdensityvalues,forwhichtheg/cm3unitistheindustrystandard,thevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Valuesininch-poundunitsareshowninparenthesesandresultfromconversioninaccordancewithIEEE/ASTMStandardSI10.Theymaybeapproximateandareonlyforinformation.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
